The A-168.1 generates a variable pulse width rectangle wave from an external input , which can be a triangle, sine or sawtooth., In fact any rising/falling input (such as LFO or Envelope) can be used as the input source.
The generated pulse shape can be modulated by a CV input, for PWM.
Typical uses are to generate PWM waveforms from VCO’s or LFO’s that don’t have pulse width modulation wave shapes, also can be used for clocking sequencers where a variable gate on/off width time is required.
