The A-102 is a reproduction of the legendary low pass filter design using diodes in the filter stage as frequency controlling elements resulting in “strange” resonance behaviour and frequency response, as resonance and frequency are not independent from another.
The Cut-Off Frequency determines the point at which filtering takes effect. This can be controlled manually, or by voltage control (filter modulation, for instance by an LFO).
Three CV inputs are available, and the sum of the voltages from these control the filter cut-off. The A-102 has identical functions and controls to other filter modules, such as the A-120 Moog low pass filter and A-103 18dB low pass filter, but the A-102 filter sound is different.
Resonance is controllable up to self oscillation, depending on the cut off frequency setting.
